2024 Juneteenth Celebration
Each year, Juneteenth calls us to remember, to celebrate, and to look forward together. In 2024, the Center for Authentic Listening & Learning marked the occasion with a Jazz Brunch & Fundraiser at the Historic Whittemore House on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis — an elegant setting that matched the weight and joy of the day.
Under the theme Restoring the Land and the Health of People, guests gathered to honor the history of Missouri's First Black Resort and the vision of what reclaiming that land can mean for communities today. The conversation was rich, the jazz was live, and the food was just right.
The afternoon was made even more memorable by the presence of special guests, the Bosman Twins, who brought energy, artistry, and community spirit to the room. Guests came dressed beautifully, connections were made, and the spirit of the day lingered long after the last plate was cleared.
Co-sponsored by Reparations Project 40 LLC, the event raised critical funds supporting C.A.L.L.'s ongoing work — including the rehabilitation of the historic Turner cabin.
We're grateful to everyone who joined us. Stay tuned for our 2026 Juneteenth celebration.
